Blankets For Moldova

We now have 2 blankets to send to Moldova. Our friend Miss King brought one in yesterday that she found all sealed up in a bag when she cleaned out her mother's garage. It has 108 squares and is very heavy. Thank you Miss King.

Mrs Brooks has finished our peggy square blanket and even made a label to say who it is from. Thank you Mrs Brooks. Thank you to all the knitters from Arrowtown all the way up to Auckland. Our blanket has 63 squares.

Kids In Space Dancers

Room 4 has 8 girls and three boys dancing in our school production. Can you see them in these photos?

Production Day

Tonight is a special night because tonight is production night. Our production is called Kids In Space. The chorus have to sing but the dancer's don't have to sing. I am a Space Boogie dancer. I have to wear some blue jeans, some chains, two wristbands or one and a plain black tshirt. The chorus have to wear some black pant's and a white tshirt. The Space Boogie boys have to wear mascara and this purple stuff around our eyes. Yesterday we did a full run through with Nanas and Grandads from Brightwater watching.

Welcome Jesse

Today Room 4 welcomed Jesse to our class. He came from Queenstown Primary. Jesse has a sister called Esta in Room 2. We hope he has fun in our class.

Blanket For Moldova

Thank you to everyone who helped us knit peggy squares. The blanket looks great and will keep someone in Moldova very warm.

Fraction Fun

For Maths this week we are learning about fractions. This morning we had to cut our play lunch food in half in our Inquiry groups.

Mt Arthur

On Sunday Mum, Dad, Amelia and Sherryn and I went to Mt Arthur. Dad got stuck in the snow. I panicked. I went on my sled. Sherryn had a shovel and ran it along the snow then she threw it up. She said "It's snowing." We thought it was cool. Mum had a race with Dad. Dad won.

The next day Chelsea came for a sleep over. She had to sleep on the stretcher We read books in bed. In the morning we were still reading. For breakfast we had pancakes. I had 5. Then we went to the Library to get books.

Staying at Gran's

In the weekend Mum and Dad and Shanee and I went to Takaka to Phil's to cut the fish. I got 2398 can tabs Mum and Dad and Shanee and I counted them. Then Dad and Mum went home to watch TV because Dad taped a dvd in the lounge but dad had to get the aerial out of the room so Dad could watch tv.
Shanee and I stayed at Granny's and made soup. Then we played old maid and down the drain and then we went to bed while Granny did her excercises in the lounge then she went to bed. I forgot to take my bag of clothes so Dad dropped them off at a hut when he was over at Takaka getting a load of logs. Phil picked it up in Takaka .

I Got A Shirt

On Saturday Mum got me a shirt and it says my puppy is cuter than yours and it has a puppy on it and it has diamonds on it. I like and Mum likes it too.

At Discovery time today we made some spaghetti faces out of all kinds of food. We made them out of bread. We had Donna to help make them. We had a large glass to make a circle out of the slice of bread. We spread spaghetti over the base and then put all the facial features on. We grilled them, then ate them. They were yummy.
