Hockey

On Tuesday morning we went to hockey skills. First of all we had to choose a stick that came up to our belly button.
Some rules are: don't swing your stick up high
We learnt how to hold our sticks with our left hand on the top.
We learnt three kinds of dribbling, close, open and indian. Then we had a game of Rob The Nest in two teams.
We have another session on Thursay.

New Playground

We have been waiting patiently for the new playground to be finished.
This week the truck bought 7 big truckloads of bark.
We all had a turn at spreading the bark.
On Thursday morning Room 2 got to play on the playground for the very first time.

Sign Language

Every Wednesday morning Cathy comes to Room 2 to teach us NZ sign language. Most of us learnt last year as well.

Kindy Visit

On Monday Room 2 went to kindy. We dug a big hole in the big sandpit. When it got very deep we found water. I slipped in on accident. After that Jonas dropped a heavy pipe in the water. It splashed all over me. I got really angry at him. Every one thought that the big hole full of water was cement. It was a very good day at kindy. By Astin

On Monday Room 2 went to Pinegrove Kindy from 9am til 1pm. We got to play all of the time. The kindy kids went for a trip to the gym and Isle Park. While we were there we played music. We had lunch and morning tea there too. After that I went on an obstacle course. That was a great day out at Kindy. By Kianah
