We Are Winners

We sent our photo to the  new World Little Garden competition last week.
Today when we went to the website our photo was at the top of Snap To Win Page. We were very excited.

Little Garden

 This morning we planted all our Little Garden seedlings.


We had to put 50 mls of water on the soil block. It magically got bigger and bigger. Then we spooned the damp soil into the biodegradable pots leaving 1 cm at the top. We then put in the seed mat. Covered it with soil. Put the label on and placed the pot in the right hole in the box. We have 23 different seedlings.

Daffodil Day

Meneka, Lily, Steve and Bella dressed up for Daffodil Day.

We are having Hot Dogs for lunch to raise money for the Cancer Society.

We welcome Zac to Room 2.

Tennis

On Tuesdays for  4 weeks we had Tennis with Ngaire. 
We learnt some new skills.
We learnt Around The World, Popcorn and Pat The Cat. Then we played Throw Tennis with a buddy across the net. We had to throw the ball so it only bounced once before our buddy caught it.
Then we did it with one person throwing and the other person with a racquet. 
At the end we played Green Light, Red Light.

Mae came all the way from Qatar in the Middle East.
Lucas didn't come as far. He came from Henley School in Richmond.

Ronald McDonald Visits Brightwater School

On Tuesday Ronald McDonald came into the hall and did a show about Road safety. He told us to Stop, Look and Listen before we cross the road. he said that some driveways were sneaky driveways. At the start it was funny because he was scared of us. Ronald McDonald was looking for his stripy sock but the whole time it was on his back. We got to keep the sock. it was so much fun.  By Asha
