Look at us all dressed up in yellow for Daffodil Day.

We looked at Mrs Robertson's blog at St Martin's School  and saw their awesome art. Some children decided to do some at Discovery Time today.

Mikayla's Marvellous Maths

Mikayla chose to write these equations on the whiteboard today when she had finished her work. Well done Mikayla. All of your numbers are formed correctly as well. You are a Maths whizz now.

Jimmy's Rugby Prizegiving

On Friday night Wanderers had their end of year prize giving at the club rooms. Jimmy got the trophy for most improved player for the Under 8's

Kaitlyn and Mikayla were in the Silver Medal winning team. Well done girls.

Brightwater Olympics

We all had heaps of fun on Friday afternoon at the Brightwater School Olympics. Thanks Mr Dobbie for organising them and thanks to Cushla our photographer.

Jump Rope

On Friday afternoon the whole school did Jump Rope For Heart. We had to bring a gold coin donation. We started with Jump Jam for a warm up then we went off in our syndicates.

The Junior Syndicate had five stations set up with long or short ropes. We got to show our parents how much we had all improved skipping with the short ropes and how we could run through the long rope and also stop to skip five times then run out.

Last Monday Jessica and I went to the Olympic van. We all had to stand in a line to get a golden retriever. It had a red coat on it. I thought it was going to be a fuzzy brown hedgehog. Instead it was a little puppy. After we got the puppy we went into the van. We had a quiz to solve.       
Next we had to go on the ipod or an ipad to solve all the questions. Jessica and I went on the ipod. Jessica and I took lots of photos. After we finished we hopped into the car and drove back to school. We had great fun there.

 

Super Sentence

When the sun just went down and the stars just came out the furry bat came out of the misty cloud and his evil eyes could see the people in the house eating pumpkin pie and dancing.

Skipping

We have been practising skipping when it is not raining and we are getting better and better. Come along next Friday to watch us.

Money Maths

We have been counting in 10's and adding and subtracting 10's so Mrs Lines decided to get the money out. We didn't know which piece of money was worth the most so Mrs Lines pretended she was in a lolly shop selling lollies for 10 cents each. For 10c we could only get 1 lolly. For 20c we could get 2 lollies and for $2.00 we could get 20 lollies. How many lollies could you buy with $1.50?
