School Gala

At the school gala on Sunday we sold all of the things we had made. The gingerbread was the first to sell then the sweet treats. Lots of people were asking for more Lemon Honey as well. We had sold out by 12.15 so some of us missed out working on the stall. Some of us counted the money with Mrs Lines in Room 4. There was a lot of money. We counted $222.00. We have to take the expenses out of that. The lolly cake cost a lot to make. Altogether our expenses were $98.00 so we made $124.00 We had lots of fun making the things and working on the stall.

Brightwater School Gala

On Sunday 29th March the Brightwater School Gala is on at 11 a.m. Room 4 will be selling lemon honey, lollycake, sweet treats gingerbread and chocolate salami. The lemon honey will be $4.00 a jar and all the other things will be $1.00.

Circus

In the weekend I went to a circus. I saw Nicola and Angela. There was a man that climbed a post right up to the ceiling with no hands. There was a man that bowed then we had to clap. There was a man that rode a bike with one wheel.Three were kangaroos that did cool tricks. There was a kangaroo that chased his own tail. At the end you could buy your own t-shirts.

Firewood For Winter

In the weekend. I went collecting pine cones with my Dad and his friend and my sister. My Dad and his friend cut bits of wood while we collected pine cones. We filled up 7 bags. Sophie got scared of our new chain saw. We stayed there for an hour.
There was a lot of pine cones there. We took morning tea and Sophie ate in the boot.

Lemon Honey

We have all had turns at making Lemon Honey as well to sell at the Gala. It smells and tastes really yummy. We only make 2 jars at a time. We are going to make labels for it next week. In the picture Bailey is stirring the eggs and sugar. Holly is grating the lemon rind. This photo was in the local Waimean Paper.

Making Gingerbread

On Thursday Ella's Mum Jo came to school to help us make gingerbread for the Brightwater School Gala on Sunday 29 March. Next week we are going to decorate them. Then we will have to decide how we are going to package them and how much they will be sold for.

German Owl

This morning we had a visit from Mr Marshall and his German Owl. Mr Marshall had just picked the owl up from the taxidermist. Last time we saw the owl he was in a chilly bin on his way to the taxidermist.
